Occasional instructor, constant student. I was always pretty active as a kid, envying my neighbors who were enrolled in karate. I finally got my own taste of martial arts at the age of 15 when I started training Taekwondo. After practicing regularly for several years, I eventually started to reach out to more disciplines and activities. I have since obtained certification in CPR/AED, as well as in MOSSA group fitness instruction and basic instruction for modular knife work under GM Bram Frank. In addition, I’ve also had the pleasure of getting a taste of Muay Thai, Tai Chi, Zumba, Dutch kickboxing, catch wrestling, defensive handgun training, and Kali, among other things. Of course, I have also added Krav Maga to the list since I started training here at Krav Maga Salem in 2016. I love to learn the philosophical and practical aspects of a discipline, and to add to my repertoire; If it exists, I’m probably game to try it!

I took a free trial class with no prior experience in any form of martial arts, boxing, wrestling, etc. but I was still able to follow along thanks to the instructors and experienced students. Everyone was very nice and helpful and the teaching was practical, real life self defense. It was just what I was looking for so I decided to sign up for a year. If you're considering coming here at all I would recommend giving the free trial class a go at the very least.

Just had my first class and I can't wait for my second. I learned so much in just an hour. I signed up for the whole year. I think I am really going to enjoy this.
